MCP v3.1



Release Overview

In this release, we've unleashed more functions from the MCP (multi-dimensional platform) to our use interface - Mweb and API:

Mweb:

Mweb is updated to version 3.1. During this update, Twenty-Six new features have been added; Three major bugs are fixed; and Four different user manuals are created. For full details of changes on Mweb, please see the appropriate sections below.

API:

MCP’s API is updated to version 3.1 as well. New APIs are created for each new function added in the Mweb. Moreover, "MCP API Getting Started Manual" is created for the benefits of all developers to use the APIs easier and more convenient. For full details of changes on API, please see the appropriate sections below.

Mweb v3.1

1) Functionality

New functions in Contact Management

  • Add "Make Authentication Link" function in Contact Group

    Before accessing any functions such as "Contact Group creation" and "Contacts upload" in Mweb, users need to log in with their own registered user account first. But now, "Make Authentication Link" function allows a user to generate an authorized link for others to access one of his/her "Contact Groups" in a period of time to help him/her manage the contacts.


  • Add "Activities" button in Contact Group

    This new added function allows users to check and search the history (maximum three months) of any outbound and inbound SMS/Email related to the current contacts in a contact group. This change will dramatically simplify the way for users to reach the sending records they want.

New functions in Broadcast Management

  • Add "Bill Reminder" broadcast

    "Bill Reminder" is designed to alert people with Bill Events. It allows users to specify a due date for each contact within a Contact Group, and it'll remind them according to their due dates one or more days ahead so that they won't miss any important event. All the recipients will get their reminders by SMS.

  • Add "Call and Bridge two phones" broadcast

    This new broadcast allows users to link two specific phones through a phone call based on the phone holders' permission. One of them will be set as "Caller" and the other is "Receiver". When the broadcast starts, a phone call from MCP will be sent to the "Caller" first. As long as the "Caller" picks up, his/her phone will dial the "Receiver's" phone number immediately and automatically. At last, once the receiver answers this phone call, they can talk on phone directly.

  • Add "Call Customer to tell information" broadcast

    This new function will send a phone call to a group of recipients to tell them some information set by the users. The recipients will be asked to choose a number (0 - 9) for accessing the specific content they want to get.

  • Add "Call Customer to play sound" broadcast

    "Call Customer to play sound" broadcast will help the users to call a specific group of recipients to broadcast voice information to them.

  • Add "Customer Survey" broadcast

    "Customer Survey" broadcast is able to ask a serial of questions to a bunch of people via SMS at the same time. Once the recipients reply, their inbound SMS messages will be recorded in MCP database and another SMS will be sent to them for the next question.

  • Add "Direct Gateway SMS" broadcast

    "Direct Gateway SMS" broadcast allows users to send SMS, collect replied messages and get delivery notifications through MCP.

  • Add "Key Tracker" broadcast

    "Key Tracker" broadcast will help users to track the returning of their items such as keys, books or cars automatically through SMS at certain time interval. When recipients reply "returned" via SMS, an notification email will be sent to the users to inform them who has returned the item. If no response or "returned" SMS from some recipients at the end, a notification SMS will be sent to the users with both the borrower's and item's details.

  • Add "Lease Reminder" broadcast

    "Lease Reminder" broadcast is designed for reminding a group of people about the lease renewal through several SMS at certain time interval. The user can set different due date for every single of these people and the reminding SMS will start sending several days prior to their due dates.

  • Add "Partner Send SMS" broadcast

    "Partner Send SMS" broadcast allows users to send SMS and collect replied messages through MCP.

  • Add "Payment Reminder" broadcast

    "Payment Reminder" broadcast makes the bill paying process available through telephone. The bill payer will finish his/her payment under the guidance in a phone call.

  • Add "Program SMS Regularly" broadcast

    This broadcast allows the users to send a large number of scheduled SMS to a group of customers at certain time interval. Whenever the recipients reply, they will get automatically responded SMS from MCP with the content set by the users.

  • Add "SMS Regularly" broadcast

    This broadcast allows the users to send several scheduled SMS to a group of customers at certain time interval. Whenever the recipients reply, they will get automatically responded SMS from MCP with the content set by the users.

  • Delivery status is now available to be checked for any outbound SMS

    Delivery status of any outbound SMS sent through MCP broadcasts can be checked in the "Message" section in a "running" or "completed" broadcast draft.

New functions in Agile Management

  • Email Content Editor is added for Email Creation

    Email Content Editor has been added into MCP to simplify the email composing process. Users can set different fonts, colors and formats for their text or insert, upload as well as attach multiple tables and images based on their needs.

New functions in File Management

  • "Files" section is now available for users to add/upload/edit/delete their own files

  • "Text To Speech" function is available for users to customize voices files from "text"

New functions in Settings Management

  • Mweb now supports Chinese

    Users can not only shift the Mweb displaying language between English and Chinese in the "Settings", but also add Chinese contacts as well as send Chinese SMS and Emails.

New functions in Credit Management

  • "Latest Usage Time" and "Latest Charge Time" of an account are now available to view

    In the "Credit" page, "Latest Usage Time" and "Latest Charge Time" sections are added for the users to see when was the latest time they use Mweb to send SMS or Emails and when was the last time they recharge.

  • Details of "Daily Usage" and "Monthly Usage" for an account are available to check

    Users now can check their daily usage and monthly usage in the "Credit" page. The history will be displayed up to one day before the current date in the "Daily Usage", or last month in the "Monthly Usage".

2) User Account

New Accounts are created for different users

  • Root Account is available now for system administrator

    Root account is a system-level super account which locates at the top of MCP Account. It has unlimited access to all the management functions such as System Settings, Organization Creation, Bill Rates Settings and Account Creation in MCP. Root account is mainly used by our System Administrators who only operate as the root users to perform system administration processes that require root privileges. For accessing any business functions such as SMS and Email sending, users need to use Manager Account.

  • Account Manager Account is available now for organization administrators

    Account Manager account is an system-level management account, which is one level lower than Root. It is mainly used to focus on the management of any organizations such as organization creation, bill rates setting and credit/balance managing in different databases. Account Manager account is created for our administrators such as Sells Manager or Marketing Manager who do not need to know the technical settings of the system but only take charge of management for the organizations and businesses.


  • Admin Account is available now for admin users

    Admin account is an organization-level management account which focuses on the management within a specific organization such as editing organization details and administrating all the manager account. It can be created for the Organizational Administrator of our customers to allow them to manage their specific organizations or groups.

  • "Solution" Manual is added for "SMS Virtual Gateway"

    SMS v-Gateway is a virtual gateway which offers an API SMS solution to send SMS, receive replied messages, check delivery status of outgoing SMS and search message histories. The "Solution" of "SMS Virtual Gateway" gives users the thoroughly view of this function and provides with an practical example for their better understanding.

  • "MCP API Getting Started" Manual is available now for developers

Fixed Issues:

  • Resolves an issue that prevents users to create contacts successfully in the contact book which has over 10 columns.

  • Fixes a bug which largely slows down the deleting process when the users delete a contact group with over 1000 contacts.

  • Fixes an error which forces the page return to the top whenever input a value in any text area.
